How ratings are calculated

To calculate the rating for a player in any one game, we measure that player's performance against an average of all players who have worn that jersey in all games since 11 December 2021. So, for example, if the average number of tackles recorded by someone who wore jersey #1 was 10 tackles per game, and our player made 15, his score would be 50% higher than the average.

For s, the rating composition is split between defence, and attack. For defence, we include and for attack we include . Each is weighted according to the percentages you can see next to the pie chart below.

Finally, we subtract negative factors, such as missed tackles or turnovers conceded (marked in red in the box(es) below). Should a player be carded, his rating is reduced in accordance with the weighting of that card (see the discipline box below). Similarly, if penalised, a percentage of his score is deducted.

If a player is penalised, 8% of his score is deducted. Penalised twice, and he loses 16%. Cards also incur a reduction as follows:- yellow (20%), orange (50%) or red (50%).
